Verification of Mortgage (VOM) 

Verification of Mortgage (VOM) is documentation of a borrower's mortgage payment history used to verify the existing mortgage balance, monthly payments, and payment timeliness. This verification is essential for refinance transactions and helps underwriters assess the borrower's mortgage payment history and current loan status. 
 

Step 1: Start Your Order 

1. Log in to bankVOD 
2. Click ORDER A VERIFICATION 
3. Find Verification of Mortgage card 
4. Click blue Select button 

Step 2: Choose the Mortgage Servicer 

You'll see cards for different servicers showing: 

• Servicer name 
• Processing time (in business days) 
• Price 

How to Choose: 

• Select the borrower's CURRENT servicer 
• Check recent mortgage statement for correct servicer name 
• Consider processing time vs. your closing timeline 
• Click Select on the correct servicer card 

Step 3: Complete the Order Form 

Your Information: 

• Your Name: First and Last 
• Your Email: CRITICAL - where VOM will be sent 
• Date: Today's date or verification request date 
• Tracking Number: Your loan file number (best practice) 

Borrower Information: 

• Borrower Name: Full legal name (as on mortgage) 
• Co-Borrower: If applicable (joint mortgages) 

Property Address: The mortgaged property 

• Street address 
• City, State, ZIP 

SSN: Full 9-digit Social Security Number 

Comments Box: 

• Open text field for additional information or special circumstances 

Step 4: Upload Documents 

Required: 

• Borrower authorization (signed loan application) 

Recommended: 

• Recent mortgage statement 
• Shows loan number and servicer info 

Step 5: Select Payment 

Choose payment method: 

• Bill to account (most common) 
• Credit card on file 
• New credit card 

Cost: $16.50-$36.50 depending on servicer 

Step 6: Review and Submit 

Before clicking Submit, verify: 

Then: 

1. Check authorization box 
2. Click Submit Order 
3. Save your confirmation number
